KATANARI: Island Home
Island Home is an experimental performance combining storytelling, object theater, puppets, pop-up architecture and art installation elements. It is a compilation of tiny stories reviewing different aspects of journeys in life and each of them has its own visual representation. The journeys represented are depicted in short symbolic stories weaved together around theme of leaving home voluntary or involuntary, searching for one`s place in the world, peace and acceptance.
Katarina Cakova
Visual artist and performer from Slovakia working primarily with visual storytelling including artist book, object, installation, experimental animation and visual theatre. In 2014 accepted for a year study of traditional shaddow puppet theatre in Instutute of Art Surakarta, Indonesia.

Artists Crossings is an international platform designed to bring together aspiring, independent artists from the fields of theater, dance, puppetry, visual arts, performance art and multimedia and enable them to collaborate.
In frame of _contexts evenings international artists from various art fields will be presented along with a discussion focused on sharing individual experience, possiblities and lmits of the local scene and explore the conditions of independent artists
