Artists Crossings - platform for independent art - international residency programme invites all interested to share ideas with David Somló from Budapest and Nahuel Cano, Argentinian artists from Amsterdam.
║ Open studio is revealing the process and creates a platform for short presentation, discussion, sharing the ideas connected to ongoing work or just everyday issues and struggles.
ARTISTS
╗ DAVID SOMLÓ is a Hungarian interdisciplinary artist working with space, sound and interaction. In his artistic practice he is interested in those human interactions that are small but significant, as well as the exploration of audience perception, utilizing both time and performance spaces. He composes situations.
During his residency he will continue in working on his performance DRIFT which will be presented within PQ'19 (Prague Quadriennale) Formation Section on 12th and 13th June.

╙ NAHUEL CANO is a performer, director, and playwriter. His works have been presented in multiple international festivals and have received support and awards from national and international institutions. Nahuel is currently starting the DAS Theatre Master program in Amsterdam. His field of artistic action is mobile, he explores the possibilities of performance, installation, cinema, dance, theatre and activism.
During his residency Nahuel will further develop his performance FIRELAND which foundation will arise from a connection between three main points: The study and analysis of Selk’nam culture and rituality, the research on violence and an archeology of its ways of representation; the exploration of biography not as a way to expose a self, but as a way to poetically deconstruct and multiply it; the approach to fiction as a territory where to create and transform reality
